Garage door suppliers WA State
I’ve decided to make a short list of the 5 main Garage Door suppliers in the Great Seattle area.
Honestly, I don’t have a preference. I’ve tried working with all of them, and I hate them all, and I wish to have my own manufacturer :).
Bottom line is that in my opinion, there is no big difference or maybe no difference at all. Yes, each one has some differences in their products and some areas of uniqueness and expertise, but they all keep (give or take) the same level of quality. And a slight price difference between different parts and products.
So from South to the north.
- Garaga or Midwest doors. They are making their doors and parts in Canada and the USA. When looking it up, I saw Made in China on some of their parts. Yet their product is very good, they are easy to work with, and maybe they are a tiny bit cheaper than some others. They are located in Tacoma.

- Wane Dalton– Supplier located in Federal Way. Many House builders work with them. They have some contractor products, as well they have some very fancy high quality doors, and fiberglass doors that are extremely expensive. They are the only company that doesn’t use the regular Torsion spring (read more)

- Amarr– Located in Kent. Manufacturers in the USA as far as I know. Honestly not sure why but they got the name of the highest quality brand in the market. Well Costco Garage door company working with them, they do make great doors, there prices might be a bit higher then the rest, again nothing significant.
- Clopay doors– Manufacturers in the USA (that’s what they say, and never saw Made in China on their product). The supplier is in Redmond. Home Depot is selling its doors. I think that they are considered the biggest Garage door supplier who sells the most doors because of it. And to the best of my knowledge, they are still the only ones who provide a Garage door with a pedestrian door inside it

- Hormann or northwest doors- They have 2 supply warehouses, one in Marysville and one in Sumner. A huge German brand. I do know they have a Factory in Tacoma. Hormann doesn’t make only garage door; they do a lot of things. Well, their door are good. They are the only ones that can provide slope door panels for areas that have slope, and they have their own opener brand.
